Evildsen filmed the times of the tournament frames from different angles
Synopsis
A decade after their match at the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, middle-aged Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence find themselves once again as martial arts rivals. During the filming of the original Karate Kid, the late director John G.
Ralph Macchio told Uproxx that there are three brand new angles on the famous crane kick
The Cobra Kai film crew searched the studio vault and found a lot of never-before-seen clips that they were able to introduce into the series with the help of flashbacks. One of them includes Zabka’s real mom, who was in the stands in different angles that weren’t seen before 2018.
This means that it was The Next Karate Kid who changed his name, while Cobra Kai kept his previously given name
Many believe that Miyagi’s name on his tombstone is a continuity error, given that in Karate Kid 4 (1994) his name is listed as Keisuke, but in fact earlier on the plaque that Chozen held for him in Karate Kid 2 (1986), it was shown that it was Naryoshi. However, one more interesting fact is that the name given in The Karate Kid Part II was not the original first name given by Miyagi.
Shown on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” : Anthony Mackie/Ralph Macchio/Kyrie Shabazz (2018)
In “The Karate Kid” (1984), Miyagi’s name is Hideo on the tags attached to the 1948 Ford keys given to Daniel for his birthday. The problem is that he was one-of-a-kind and he was never given a chance to prove himself.
In Cobra Kai, this is his show, and he shows a side of Johnny that is a real human experience
